Most people view door repair as a service. At Doorheal, we see it as a form of art! So much more goes into door repair than meets the eye. Just as an artist preps his tools and paintbrushes before the inception of his creation, so do door repairmen prep their tools and get their precise measurements in before repairing any door. It all starts with the type of door. Most doors can be categorized (with the exception of a few unique types of doors) into ordinary repairs. The first step is to diagnose the severity of the doors state of being. Is the lock stuck, or hinges bent, or are the handles out of shape or is the whole door completely about to come apart? Next, break out the measurement tapes and tools to get the precise numbers of where to nail, drill, or saw in order to repair the door. And lastly, break out the door repair tools as aforementioned, to drill, saw, or nail whatever the door repair requires. This is the step that door repairmen consider doing their “painting.” We believe these door repair “artists” should deserve more credit than they get because they are the ones who paint the picture of people being able to safely enter and exit buildings. So kudos to the art of door repair!
