Door repair and installation can be an arduous task, especially with the various types of doors including storefront doors. With storefront door installations, there are various steps to follow in order to successfully install storefront doors.  The first step in installing doors is acquiring the tight tools.  In this case, storefront door installation, you will need a knife, tape measure, level, a rubber mallet, a metric allen wrench set, C-clamps, gasket roller non-metal hand wedges, heavy duty glass handling tools power drill with 3/16” drills, and lastly a 1/2″ open wrench.  Materials needed for storefront door installations would be be silicone caulking, mineral wool insulating material, as well as ¼” x 3” / 4” zinc-coated flat head sheet metal screws / concrete screws.  Once you have the necessary tools for installation, the fist step is to determine the storefront doorframe’s reference point. Use these reference points to determine the installation points for each door frame.  Next, take the doors and frames and lay them out in proper order to visualize the task. The door frames will be installed into the wall opening via wall openings that pre-drilled anchor locations. Now we are ready for the door itself to be installed into the door frames.  Align the door leaf with the door frames and carefully lower the leaf into position. Make sure the storefront door that has been installed swings open freely, with no interference. Next step is to prepare door installation for glazing.  Glazing is a big step when it comes to door repair and installations so be sure to read the instructions properly if trying to install and glaze the door yourself.
